Life Hacks For The Modern Traveler

Travelling is always a nightmare for many. As a modern day traveller, one must know how to travel peacefully to get a nice holiday. This means one must have knowledge of how to pack the luggage without getting bothered with it making your mobility accessible. Gadgets help us a lot, and for some of us it's a necessity to carry around, but what happens when the internet connection is limited or is not even there? So here I have some top life hacks for you that will help you in travelling easily whether you travel by land, sea or air.

Roll Clothes

Instead of folding your clothes, roll then into long tubes. Not only will this prevent creasing, but you'll find you can fit much more into your suitcase, as rolled up clothes take up less room.

Pro Tip: Socks can be rolled into balls and then placed inside shoes for extra space saving.

Digitise

Create digital backups of all the important documents you'll need for your trip, including passports, any booking confirmations, boarding passes, etc. so you're covered in the event of loss or theft.

Adaptors

Pack one multi-charge adapter for all devices instead of several different chargers. If you're travelling abroad, pack an extension cord so you can power multiple things at once using one foreign plug adaptor.

Pro Tip: Most modern TV's have USB ports in the back, ideal if you forget your charger plug.

Check WI-FI

Spend some time before you leave looking for WI-FI hotspots and free WI-FI areas. That way you can always get online if your hotel or cottage doesn't have a WI-FI, or charges a lot for it.

Passwords

Before you head off, use Foursquare to find wireless passwords for all the different Wi-Fi spots you find. People continually list passwords on travel sites like this, making your life much easier when you arrive.

Booking

When you're booking online, whether it's flight, cruise, hotel or something else, clear your browser cache or use an anonymous browser window. Booking sites will often raise their prices if they know you've been there before.

Credit Card

If you're travelling internationally, or you're going to be far from home for a long period, call your credit card company and let them know. This way they won't think your card has been stolen and won't cancel it on you.

If you follow these tips, you can easily make through your travelling hassles and enjoy your holiday peacefully.

Traveling is the best way to enjoy your time with your family, so book a cruise to Barcelona and have the most memorable time of your life with your family.

3 Common Myths About Achieving Musical Greatness (And Why They Are False)

Achieving musical greatness becomes impossible when you follow the (false) conventional wisdom that many musicians believe in. Avoid these 3 common myths to get on the right path towards becoming a great musician:

Myth #1. You Must Be Talented To Become A Great Musician

False: musical greatness is simply a byproduct of mastering musical skills and integrating them together. People who have natural talent were not born talented. They figured out on their own how to master the right skills to become good musicians.

Not having "natural talent" doesn't mean it's impossible to become great. Fact is, many of the greatest musicians began with no talent whatsoever. Everyone has the potential to learn the correct musical skills for achieving greatness by working with an excellent teacher.

Myth #2. Musical Greatness Is The Same As Originality

Greatness is simply the ability to express what you want to express accurately and effortlessly. Your expression does not have to be original. For example, a virtuoso pianist who only plays Classical music composed by other musicians. You can also be original without really expressing yourself (if you lack the skills needed to do so).

What matters most is that you have a strong desire to express something and are willing to learn how to clearly express it through music. Once both of these things are in place, you have everything you need to become great.

Myth #3. To Be Musically Great You Must Play Many Styles Well

You can express yourself very well in one style (that you love). Most of the greatest musicians in the world were specialists in a single style (or closely related styles). For example, two great musicians Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen never strayed too far from their respective genres. Musical greatness is about acquiring skills needed to express the sounds you hear in your head and mastering them. Don't believe the false claim that you can only become great if you already have a lot of natural talent. This myth is destructive because it keeps you from even attempting to become better

Instead of making it a goal to become great in several musical styles, work together with an experienced teacher to learn things that help you become a better musician in ANY style. For example: music theory, aural skills, songwriting or live performance.

By avoiding these three myths you remove obstacles in the way of becoming a great musician.

Behind The Piney Veil

Texas is a vast place, full of acres of nothingness, unless you learn to see beyond the open expanses and let the landscape tell you its secrets or better yet find the keeper of the landscape's secrets. I have been seeking the keepers of the secrets of Texas and I keep getting the sense that they are near.

For the past few years, I've spent time "Behind the Piney Veil" of Deep East Texas which includes Nacogdoches. The woods of Deep East Texas that surround the area conjure up images associated with past. These forests have found their way into a few childhood nightmares. One hunter even spotted Bigfoot a few years back. They're the forests of whispers among "grown folks" heard between hand over mouth hushes at family gatherings.

The region is unsettling, as it is one of the most distinctly southern areas of Texas. The landscape borders the edge of Louisiana where one might find more catfish farms than gas stations. Driving through Polk and Tyler County is to pass though the lungs of the southeast, the sacred grove of Texas, the Big Thicket whose 106,305 acres span more than five counties and two states. Once you reach the Alabama Coushatta reservation, where Polk borders Tyler County, you cannot help but feel as if the trees are in charge.

From 1870 to 1890, former slaves founded more than 500 "Freedom Colonies", Freedmen's Towns, or settlements across Texas. Since then, a variety of factors facilitated Freedom Colony descendants' movements. They've often left behind intangible geographies where structures and populations associated with early African American have disappeared.

However, more than 20 of them are clustered throughout Jasper, Tyler, and Newton Counties. Jasper and Newton to its east, and Tyler County to the west, are filled with history not widely celebrated in local culture. However Deep East Texas is still home to a past of Freedom Colonies and settlements founded by ex-slaves.

Behind the Piney Veil, formerly enslaved Africans made small towns, some of which still have a large population nestled in the marshy bottom land along the edge of forests. Clearings with white wooden churches at the end of long winding farm roads are still found. Some vibrant and alive, others latent rhizomes, sprouting only during reunions and homecomings. Where many see a whole lot of pine trees, I have begun seeing more of Texas' beautiful and diverse history.

Bull Hills Ascension Inspires Renewal of Mindset, Climb or Ascend Renewed Thoughts and Actions Daily

***"Bull hills scenery inspires peace by viewing a serene, peaceful and powerful landscape. Your internal landscape is very much akin to the landscape of the beautiful Blue Hills mountains. They have always resided in your undisclosed thoughts and in your mind. Perhaps this inspiration is yet to be expressed or climbed for your complete ascension into what works best in your attitude and life expression. Allow the beautiful scenery of the Massachusetts Blue Hills to inspire a new way of thinking and living. Seek to comprehend what a renewed attitude can do to improve how you continue to process and challenge any perceived limiting thoughts or beliefs. Is your life expression really the true impression of all of your hidden talents, dreams and abilities? Let your life expression come across like a new more refined dimension of yourself. Much like television can be seen in 3-D why shouldn't you and me also be seen and appreciated in 3-D organization? WE CAN! By challenging and ascending goals more readily than our goals have ever challenged before, together we can do more!

The powerful energy of the collective, connective ability was made to prosper and ascend to higher dimensions of thought, work and artistic expression. The renewed energy is a wonderful and powerful way to ascend more hills, mountains and valleys to amazing heights, like never seen before!

If you are an artistic, mathematic, entrepreneur or imaginative, colorful writer poet, or artist of any sort, please allow, AND don't resist the laws of nature, or the natural ability to uncover your skills and talents. Uncover, recover or discover more about your talents a lot more organically - Let the natural waves or hills of change overtake your limiting beliefs or mindset- get your limiting thoughts out of the way, for at least a few times a year.

Decide to climb and ascend a mountain or hill, or to challenge any feat or other perceived obstacle while on the climb to success. Know that you can overcome many mountains or valleys in the form of challenges that present themselves every year. For as long as we are alive, we have an opportunity to reap renewed abilities to see and experience life more fortuitously and organically. Let nature's organic way of meeting or surpassing challenges inspire you. Volcanoes serve a life-given purpose, natural fires serve a purpose, life and death serves a purpose, not readily seen on the surface. Natural events serve to preserve, conserve, restore, renew or to redirect the wind, land, water or elements of all the earth and its inhabitants, including me and you.

Step out into nature as much or as often as you can. Not just going outside in your backyard, no- travel a lot further. Next time go far. Make the time to take a drive, leave for a few hours, go far away and get out of your regular haunts or comfort zone. Get to know the natural scenery in your town or city. Visit a large mountain, hill or any other type of rocky terrain. Climb and ascend to the top and challenge your limitations with precaution and in measured increments.

If you have ever made a rigorous climb you quickly realized that the mindset was more of the focus or the obstacle than the actual climb itself. Training your mind to follow you instead of yourself following limiting thoughts is a wonderfully more empowering way to live.

There have been so many causes and cases by where people have been able to overcome a mindset that was set to limited thinking, ability, dexterity or any other type of obstacle, label or self-limiting thought that did not have any power or motivation. It is our design by nature, to challenge our own way of thinking before we listen to the thoughts of anyone else. The reason why we were all born alone and are each responsible for feeding and maintaining one brain is because we are complete and equipped with everything we need to think and process new thoughts or to make changes accordingly during the course of any given day.

Is your way of processing new thoughts ascending like a revitalizing Blue Hills mountain climb? Is it showing your ascension towards more autonomy, originality or more organically creative expression or creativity? "Bull hills inspire the landscape, in your internal mind, expressed or climbed for your complete ascension into what works best in your renewed attitude or life expression."

Children Will Fix the Future of Our Current Mistakes for All Nations Around the World to Live & See

***Children are the instrumental key for the future progress of our current society in all keys, chords, colors and nationalities! Children are the instrument for the future progress of an amiably well- functioning global union of society in every key, color and nation; Children will fix the future of our current mistakes in society for all nations around the world to live and see! It is no wonder that educational changes abound everywhere! The way of educating our youth is changing in so many ways that children will finally be able to understand their brilliance and contribution to society, being taught by demonstration about the importance of empathy and global diversity as the new normal. Being kind, contributing to global peace and sharing knowledge, compassion and living harmoniously is all a part of the new global education system.

Teaching children in small groups, changing roles, offering solutions, though letting them work together and solve their differences as you stand back as mediator or moderator will help children be children and practice problem-solving skills that will benefit them even into adulthood. There are many new ways of teaching children that are more empowering, yet still keep the children engaged in learning through peer role reversals with coaching and educational techniques that are different then how you and I learned when we were in public education. The advancements are getting even better and the results are even more remarkable! Test scores are trending higher as new methods of teaching are incorporated into many school systems.

We are now training and engaging a lot more versus memorizing and rehearsing- these methods are more of a thing of the past. I am really happy with the new teaching innovations and can only guess that our posterity stands to benefit even more as a result of the evolution in teaching. Teaching in smaller groups and utilizing natural skills of sight to be used as a guide for words, sounding out correctly, attention by focusing more on reading by the sounds and utilization of Site words, (ask your kids what Site words are),recognizing the importance of phonics and literacy. Adding more musical instruments and educational games, and playing classical music as a background sound that sets a serious tone in the classroom. Incorporating classical music is inviting and creating a very mentally beneficial calmer, more acceptable way of influencing the learning environment. It has aided by increasing test scores, demonstrating marked improvement in classroom participation, listening and responding skills. Playing classical music is great for aiding and instilling a strong desire to want to learn and participate in classroom or group activity. It also has been a nice, inspirational benefit in assisting with new and out-of-box teaching methods.

Working in the education field is both enlightening and rewarding as much as it is akin to being instrumental in the development of teaching children how to solve or resolve issues by themselves.

Children learn more by what they hear us say, and see us do,than by any other method of teaching or training. In line with that thought process, I gladly convey to you that I am truly impressed and humbled by the intellect and emotional maturity that children have chosen for themselves. They instinctively demonstrate high moral behavior, when adults let them think by themselves. Offer choices versus forcing actions, empathy and compassion must come naturally. Demonstrating the consequences of their choices and showing the great responses received when making good choices is really a great way to empower children to respect themselves and respect others as well!

Folks our children are watching us and they don't like the discord that they see. The next generation of our posterity is so much more aware of our fears, apprehensions, and anxiety and they will try extremely hard to help us calm down. And they do help us, if only we allowed them to do what they do naturally which is to give and show love, care and compassion easily, readily and more freely without judgment. The youth nowadays are more advanced and more in tune with their physical and emotional needs and they have actually learned how to console themselves. Finally, we, as the current generation, will have an opportunity to breathe a sigh of relief! Our youth is better equipped than we were to handle stress and seek peace and happiness above strive and discord.

There are so many young people these days that don't know what life was like before the Internet or WiFi was ever available, and it's really amazing. Why do I find it amazing, you ask? Because of the initiative of children everywhere, they find research, they write, they know how to find answers for others as well as for themselves. You might even venture to say that they work well in groups and are eager to share education and information with one another.

They find ways to help adults decompress, get reconnected to the family unit, and to enjoy living in the present moment- much as they live themselves- Kids are always living in the present moment. They are not responsible for their new high-tech way of living, that is the life that they inherited. We taught them how do be more independent and reliant on their own way of thinking and solving problems.

We, as humanity may just have a chance at teaching, rearing and cultivating strong, heartfelt, intelligent, empathetic children.

The children of today, will grow into conscious, aware, attuned, determined adults. Today's youth are wanting to help the next generation collect themselves and be better more heart-minded compassionate people, much like themselves.

I have seen children walking around the school yard wanting to help us grade papers, clean classrooms or serve others students apple slices or yogurt cups, all unprompted... I have had a five year-old open the door for me and take my arm as we walked up the stairs, can you believe that?

I have a lot of confidence in the future generation of our current youth. Once they are taught to think for themselves and know the good and bad consequences through the choices that they make, they become more responsible and in all of their actions they are unstoppable!

Children are the instrumental keys for the future progress of our society in All keys, chords, colors and nationalities!

Systematizing Details in Foundation Grammar Instructions Through "Subject and Object Questions"

"Read not to confute nor accept but weigh and consider."
Francis Bacon

Understanding grammar points in your own accumulated knowledge as language educators is an instant capacity, whereas transmission of these knowledge requires techniques and several attempts to nonnative speakers as learners of the language who haven't had prior immersion. At this point, we are made to understand that teachers don't rely primarily on textbooks' directions, but the need to simplify in such a way that the students will be able to understand is critical.

One practical measure that may possibly address this dilemma is a thoroughly systematized steps which can cater to diverse learners' levels. As operationally employed in this proposed approach, it is tantamount to expounding every detail for the purpose of ensuring beginners' understanding. Here are some illustrated practiced tips that tend to be beneficial through the teaching of subject and object questions in ESL's foundation grammar not to mention that this method is additionally recommended in teaching other language focuses depending on students' comprehension levels and language background.

Level 1: Frame specific intended outcomes to guide your teaching process. These may be expressed as, at the end of this discussion, the students will be able to: identify the important components of subject and object questions, label the specific parts involve to formulate these types of questions, give the difference between subjects and object questions, produce their own examples of subject and object questions using situation guides in written or in oral forms, and determine the importance of subjects and an objects in given statements.

Level 2: Present the components to be defined. These are specifically the subject, verb and object within statements that follow subject-object-verb (S-V-O) pattern.

This will be further understood when subjects and objects are introduced with corresponding basic, controlled and simplified definitions such as, the subject does the action, verb is the action done by the subject and object is the receiver of the action done by the subject. The examples have to be expressed in simple and short sentences. This portion presents the background of subject and object to be interrelated to the constructions of these types of questions.

For example, "He drove a car." "He" is the subject. "Drove" is the verb. "A car" is the object. These should be expounded repeatedly with series of examples till the knowledge of these elements will be established.

Level 3: Review regular and irregular action or state verbs and the auxiliary expressions. The regular and irregular action or state verbs too, have important roles in the transformation of words affected by singular and plural forms of the subjects as well as the tenses when they mean past or present.

Regular verbs- present tense with singular and plural subjects: touches/touch, love/loves, covers/cover...

Regular verbs -past tense with singular and plural subjects: touched/ covered/ loved, started/turned...

Irregular verbs- present tense with singular and plural subjects: breaks/break, knows/know, writes/write...

Irregular verbs- past tense with singular and plural subjects: broke/wrote/knew/ made/ said/ told...

Level 4: Familiarize the auxiliary words relating to subject and tenses which are specifically does, do and did, and elucidate them by details. You can use the table of subject pronouns to illustrate.

Does is used for present tense with singular subjects. For instance, does he... , does it... , does she... ?

Do is used for present tense with plural subjects except pronouns, I and you that may appear to be plural in structures. For example, do they... , do we... , do you... , do I... ?

Did is used for past tense with singular or plural subjects such as did I... , did you... ?

Highlight that this auxiliaries will follow the present form of a verb regardless of subjects and tenses as an example, "Does he drive?" "Did he drive?" "Do we drive?" "Do I drive?"

Level 5: Introduce the use of what and who with emphasis that "what" asks for things while "who" asks for persons. Use consistent examples if possible till every component is explained.

For instance, "Who drives the car" is a question that asks person as a response' while "What did he drive?" is a question that needs thing as an answer.

Level 6: Present both the auxiliary verbs which are does, do and did, and the two question expressions, what and who to elucidate object questions. Variate examples. Use either past or present tenses for singular or plural objects using regular or irregular verbs.

What does he drive? What do they drive? What did they drive? Who did he talk to? Your examples should have S-V-O pattern to avoid confusing beginners.

Level 7: Introduce action/state verbs in sentences with the two question expressions, what and who, to come up with subject questions. Use either present or past verbs with singular or plural subject answers with regular or irregular verbs.

For example, "Who drove a car? Who drives a car? Who remembers the date? Who knows the address? What happens on May 8? What broke the glass? Who heard the sound?" Your examples should follow a pattern that contains subjects, verbs and objects for consistency.

Level 8: Apply the two types of questions with labeled parts for emphasis.

Subject question: Who drove the car? He drove the car.
Who remembers the date? Husam remembers the date.

Object question: What did he drive? He drove a car.
What do they drive? They drive a car.
Who did he talk too? He talked to Khalifa.

Level 9: Highlight the location of the subject and the object as responses in the sentences when questions are asked.

In subject question, "Who drove a car? He drove a car," the location of the answer is at the beginning of the sentence which is, he.

In object question, "What did he drive? He drove a car," the location of the answer is at the end of the sentence.

Level 10: Deliver and facilitate other examples to reinforce the understood rules.
My mother cooked dinner. This time the students will label the parts of a sentence before formulating the questions. They will come up with mother as the subject, cooked as the verb and dinner as the object.

subject question: Who cooked dinner? Answer: Mother cooked dinner.
object question: What did mother cook? Answer: Mother cooked dinner.

Elicit the subject and object of the sentences by asking questions from what were formulated. This time, the students will label the location of responses for every type of question.

subject question: Who cooked dinner? Answer: Mother cooked dinner.
object question: What did mother cook? Answer: Mother cooked dinner.

Level 11: Generate a formula to intensify understanding with corresponding examples to observe distinctions. In these examples, the students will identify the important elements on forming these types of questions in both present and simple past.

who / what + verb 1 (present ) or verb 2 (simple past) = subject question

Who writes a letter? What happened yesterday?
Waleed writes a letter? An accident happened yesterday.

who/ what + auxiliary verb (present) or auxiliary verb (past) = object question
Who did he marry last year? What does he want? What did he drive?
He married Patchaka last year. He wants a new car. He drove a truck.

Level 12: Provide an opportunity to formulate their examples based from the formula.

Each one writes examples and state it orally. Some may write on the board for further analysis of their works. One good point of writing answers on the board is that, it is a way of correcting errors generally. The error of one who wrote on the board may be the similar errors of several students.

Level 13: Present a situation where they can formulate examples of questions with possible answers to prove if the questions are intended for objects or subjects.

A boy walks along aisle 1 of a department store. He gazes at the apples, cherries and persimmons. He picks one apple and one persimmon then goes to the checkout counter.

Ask the students to create questions out of the situation. Possible answers:

Who walks along aisle 1? The boy walks along aisle 1.
What fruits does the boy want? The boy wants an apple and a persimmon.
Who gazes at the apples, cherries and persimmons? The boy gazes at the apples, cherries and persimmons.

Level 14: Produce a generalization through their responses in terms of the elements found in a subject question and the elements found in an object question for emphasis.

The students should now infer that in subject questions, "who or what" is followed by action verbs. For example, who wants... , who said... , what destroyed... , who made... , what colored, etc.

The students should too infer that in object questions, "who or what" is followed by auxiliary verbs. For example, who did... , what did... , what does... , what do... who do... , etc.

Ask the importance of subject and objects in sentences. At these point, students are now expected to understand that the following sentences expressed complete ideas through the presence of the subjects, verbs and objects as illustrated by these examples: "They ate delicious apples. Who ate delicious apples? What did they eat?"

Level 15: Construct a final reinforcement out of these examples. Students may infer that the subject is found before the verb and that the object is found after the verb in a normal form of a sentence produce by creating subject and object questions. They can also generalize that who or what followed by auxiliaries are object questions while what or who followed by action verbs are subject questions. With these examples, they may also observe that object questions are answered by objects while the subject questions are answered by subjects.

Who drove the car? The man drove a car.
What did the man drive? The man drove a car.

Level 16: Evaluate comprehensions by a final activity.

Identify each statement if it is an object question or a subject question. Provide answers to these questions in complete statements.

1. Object question: What did he like to cook? He liked to cook spaghetti.
2.___________ What does he want? ___________________________________.
3. ___________Who broke the glass this morning? ___________________________.
4. ___________What took place an hour ago? ________________________________.
5. ___________Who did Jane give the flower? ________________________________.
6. ___________What started the fire? ______________________________________.
7.____________What do Waleed and friends want? ____________________________.
8.____________Who did Dixie call? _______________________________________.
9. ____________Who celebrated his birthday today? ___________________________.
10.____________What do you prefer? ________________________________________.

If there are exercises found in students' prescribed textbooks, it is recommended that these activities have to be dealt with for further refurbishments.

Level 17. Reflect to evaluate your lessons' impact by asking questions based from the stated objectives. Did the students identify the important components of subject and object questions? Did the students label the specific parts involve to formulate these types of questions? Did the students give the difference between subjects and object questions? Did the students create their own examples using a situation guide? Did the students write and state examples of these questions independently? Did the students determine the importance of subjects and objects in sentences? Are the order thinking skills through the presence of the activities corresponding to level objective verbs activated?

Institutionally, prescribed grammar textbooks present high degree of organized methods for the students to understand the rudiments of grammar lessons. These instructive tools have been authored by writers with high degree of expertise in the field of language studies which are subjected for curricular investigations and deliberations and are mandated for implementation with the ultimate purposes of ensuring knowledge to every learner. However, with English as a Second Language (ESL) students who lack immersion of the foreign language from their early education, we are still aware of the need of teachers to innovate to facilitate systematic learning procedures. Direct discussion of the language point is not advisable. It has to build a foundation to arrive at the current language target. The teacher may be an expert grammarian by virtue of intensive education or being native speaker of the language could face problems on how these theories are presented especially to heterogeneous levels of beginners. As a suggested approach, the use of a systematized explanation can be supportive. These introduced practical procedures guide one to start with a background knowledge of the concept then relates to the present lesson. In here, a teacher undergoes stages that execute emphasis and reemphasis of points through numerous examples to be backed by series of activities in every stage; every single details have to be exemplified in varied possible ways regardless of its simplicity. I call this as a systematized teaching procedure which tend to be appropriate in all language focuses for linguistic and communicative knowledge acquisition among foundation level learners.

Tips to Having Your Perfect Online Imagery Portfolio

Do you love sharing your smartphone-generated images, or putting smiles on your friends with modified imageries? That is a talent! If you are one of the people who pride in creativity and you wonder where and how you can showcase your abilities to the world, well, there are a few platforms to that. Such sites offer a golden opportunity to help you get noticed.

Whether you are a wedding photographer, an adobe lover or a photo-edit guru, it is obvious that an online portfolio will cherish and safely store your exciting moments. In fact, a perfect portfolio can make an advertising agency, a book publisher or web-design company call you in want of your services.

So, how do you come up with a spectacular online portfolio that attracts friends, relatives or even clients? Below are tips to help you.

Know the value of a portfolio

Having your creative works displayed, and easily accessible to the world is a great investment. There is always someone out there willing to hire a creative mind that can handle creative assignments. That alone should prompt you to create a strong online imagery portfolio that will expose your work to the world.

Gather your favorite Imageries

Locate and gather all your favorite images into an online collection and don't mind about the numbers. You can have as many as 500 images. This is an opportunity to place value on your past years of shooting, by building a master gallery.

Now, trim the unnecessary fat

Yes, it is obvious that you love most or all of the images you added to your portfolio, but it is now time to trim out what is less valuable. You want a strong portfolio, right? Set a target, to remain with 250 images that you deem are perfect.

Take a break, and redo the trimming process again

The idea is to remain with a perfect gallery, one that you will confidently build on in the subsequent days to come. Therefore, throw out another 150 images that you love least. Now you are done. Proceed to build your portfolio with the remaining 100 unquestionable images.

Rearrange your work

Pair and rearrange your images to have that smooth flow of interrelation. A good arrangement helps the viewer to read the visual stories one to another with enjoyment. Sequence! is the word. Let whoever may desire to hire your services to get that logic of a beginning, middle and end in your portfolio, as that talks more about your expertise.

Ask for honest feedbacks

Do you have friends with some level of objectivity or those with professional insight in images? Give them a link to your online work and have them comment. With this age of social media, it is easy to get constructive criticism. Use the feedbacks to improve your creativity.

Growing your collections

Now that you have a perfect online imagery portfolio up and running, establish your creativity with research.

With a great platform, you may end up earning thousands of dollars if not millions just like folks at Adobe Creative Cloud and the rest, by doing what you like most.

Life Is a Multi-Color Assortment of Pencils With Points and Colorful Experiences to Design & Create

***Life is a fascinating explosion of colors or viewpoints much like an assorted box of multi-colored pencils with many pointed pencils and a rainbow of colorful experiences to design or create. If you look carefully at a box of mixed colored pencils, you will quickly learn that although there are different colors, they are more united and similar than different. A box of mixed colored pencils when aligned together and assembled in a united fashion are stronger and more powerful than when each pencil stands alone.

The world is not the same way it was when I was growing up. Not by a long shot! The world is more open, tech-savvy, more universal and a lot more culturally compassionate, diverse, inter-connected and interdependent upon each other. It is by no means an accident that the world has evolved so much faster within the last 20 years than during any other time before.

I find myself both happy and proud in one sense, yet sad and perplexed in another sense. I often find myself wondering why our parents and the generation before them are not as eager to make changes as the current generations have been practically forced to make? I feel that the more that our parents dig their heels into the ground in a futile attempt to resist change, the more that their own eyes get red, their own breath gets heavier and they gain nothing other than self-frustration and attract more people, that think like them.

Life invites an assortment of opportunities to open your mindset into new ways of understanding many new and different possibilities that are ready for you to accept and reap an extended amount of lifetime benefits. There are a multi-colorful assortments of people to engage, helping you to learn what they have to express and share with you. These multiple people, like you and me, have grown up living by different points of view and different experiences; they designed and created their way of living, surviving and even thriving by their life choices. Some people have lived and prospered doing things a lot more differently that you do, and they are able to thrive and excel real well by their knowledge and colorful life experience. Decide that you too want to design and create a more abundant life by a multiple of colorful choices and assortment of experiences that changing your mindset can enable you to do!

If we were to all view life akin to a box of multi-colored, assorted, interdependent, related, comfortably aligned rainbows of beautiful, colorful, fabulous and diversified ways of achieving our means, then we could all get back to the business of life and live more happily! Just like there was once only black and white television, then BAM! there was color television. It caught on quickly, because it worked better and was a more natural way of viewing the world. It became the lasting trend and the new normal.

That was a happy easy and wonderful way of viewing the world. The world outside the walls of your home, office or car can also serve as barriers or carriers of a renewed global outlook. Invite color, resolution, and inclusion to come across your own comfort zone. You'll quickly make improvements in your outlook, lifestyle or learn new trends and habits that will be more beneficial to you! Life is quite similar to a box or differently colored crayons or a multi-color assortment of pencils with points and colorful experiences to design and create. If you look carefully at a box of mixed colored crayons or pencils, you will quickly learn that although there are color distinctions, they appear more similar and united than different. Become aligned to the new long- lasting trend and the new normal. Create a fun,new colorful outlook and watch your world and adventures soar to greater heights than ever experienced before! Welcome inclusion and diversity as the global way to prosper and make a more productive living~A box of mixed colored crayons if you are young or pencils if you are an adult, when aligned together and assembled in a united fashion are stronger, more diversified and more powerful than when each pencil stands alone.

Inexpensive Ways to Expose Children to Culture

Culture is as diverse as the people it shapes and expands well beyond one institution or element. Webster's Dictionary defines culture as the totality of socially transmitted behavior patterns, arts, beliefs, institution, and all other products of human work thought typical of a population or community at a given time. Conversing with those with whom we share the same community, ideals, behaviors, and beliefs seem safe and non-judgmental. However, it can create limitations and barriers that prevent us from co-existing. This is particularly true for children. For many parents, the idea of this type of exposure seems overwhelming, but exposure to culture can be can be enjoyable and inexpensive.

Let's Talk
Taking time to speak with someone of another cultural background is a great way to dispel stereotypes, which are misconceptions associated with a culture or group. Encouraging children to arrange play-dates with children of different cultures is a great way for them to engage because it teaches them about language, preferences, traditions, and beliefs. Most of all, it helps children to capitalize on similarities instead of focusing on differences.

Visit the Library
The library is a great resource for children. To develop respect and empathy for other cultures, it is essential that they read. Like the benefits of speaking with others who are culturally different, this dismantles stereotypes that are used to paint one group in a negative way. For example, images on television would have many to believe that Africa is inhabited by poverty-stricken, malnourished, blacks who are in a constant state of despair. However, there are many books like Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters: African Tale by John Steptoe or Africa Dream by Eloise Greenfield that celebrate the beauties of this country and its people.

Visit a Museum
Visiting museums give children an opportunity to experience culture on a very personal level because it deepens critical thinking through questioning while getting a historical perspective on the origin of artifacts and exhibits. In addition, children can witness the cultural splendor that influences every institution such as: art, education, business, and religion. Curators, educators, and tourists are charged with the responsibility of presenting information that is unbiased, factual, and well-supported through social and educational programming that further develops curiosity in art, music, and education.

Speak candidly
In a hypersensitive society, the challenge of exposing children to various cultures is to teach tolerance without force of assimilation. Children should not be forced to agree with every ideology, belief, or norm. Yet, it is important to instill a sense of respect, empathy, and social responsibility which are foundations that should take precedence--first. This will result in children become more respectful, well-rounded, and confident adults.

Taste and See
Food is the universal language in every culture; yet, the types, ways of preparations, and traditions may greatly differ. Children can gain a greater appreciation when culture is experienced. After reading about a particular ethnic group, parents can help children to prepare ethnic meals. To deepen the learning experience, it is suggested that parents/educators using the formal setting required to solidify cultural sensitivity. Allowing an opportunity for dialogue either before or after the meal helps children to gain a greater understanding and appreciation for traditions. If this seems time consuming; perhaps, it will help to visit an ethnic restaurant. Allow children to look at menus, so they can get familiar with the language.

Language
People believe that one must travel internationally to experience culture, but there are many learning resources that allow children to engage and learn different languages. Language learning apps are probably the most popular. Typically, these apps are relatively inexpensive; however, it is highly recommended that research is done and reviews are read prior to purchasing.

Culture is fascinating because it showcases traditions, encourages individuality, and transcends every sector of the human experience. Food, art, religion, and etc. are just a few ways we can connect with others. Ultimately, the interaction gained from these experience can create favorable, lifelong experiences that beneficial domain of development.

Poetry and Pleasing Verses and Rhyming Words Inspire and Captivate Everyone, Especially Our Children

*Poetry and pleasing verses and rhyming words inspire, captivate and entertain everyone, especially our children. Children's stories are always short and sweet and rhyme at the end. If you think about poetry and rhyming that was our first inspiration as children to want to learn more about nature, animals and other peoples from around the world. Acknowledge the power and the beauty that poetry and rhyming words provide to you and me. The power and reach of poetry extends to our posterity, outliving our differences and springing forward our unity. Our unity will be seen long after we are gone, for many generations to come!

* At the onset of poetic inspiration are genuinely happy or joyful memories that inspire feelings of tranquility, relaxation and contentment. Perhaps happiness abounds for you too when remembering wonderful childhood memories! Do you remember your old neighbors, long, lost relatives or some of your favorite religious, cultural or traditional activities that you engaged as a child? Maybe specific cultural, traditional or athletic or original ways of childhood adventure were part of your childhood experience. Do you remember the name(s) of your neighborhood pet(s), or if you had a pet, do you remember its name? I remember most of the names of our childhood pets, though since there are so many kids and there were so many pets, I am sure that I might forget a few names: Windy-the dog, our rabbits were named- Romeo and Juliet, or was that the birds? Honestly, we had so many pets that I have to admit that I may only remember a dozen names, at best.

I remember a lot of the names of the neighborhood kids that played with us when we kids. They can from many different parts of the state, had different religious beliefs, and more often than not, were not even all from Texas. Children are both accepting and eager to embrace cultural knowledge, diversity and inclusion. I remember going to Sam and Tammy's house and getting to meet their parents and visit their home. They lived in an apartment, as a child, visiting their home was the first exposure that I had to see apartment living. I thought it was fun! I was fascinated by apartment living! No yard to clean, no dog poop to clean, no laundry to hang outside on the clothesline, no weeds to pull, no leaves to rake, what a wonderful life, I thought. They each had their own bedroom.

Then, I got this really neat idea and asked my dad to move us into an apartment and he replied," Sure, just remember that we will not have any rabbits, swing sets, slides, mini- bikes, large outdoor toys, trampolines, portable swimming pools, backyard soccer field, drive way basketball court, or any outdoor games. As I thought about what dad said, I slowly decided that apartment living was NOT going to be very fun FOR ME,at all. Because I was the youngest, I was not allowed to play outside alone or unsupervised, or able to go outside at all when my sibling's were at school. As a matter a fact, it was going to be especially awful for, because I wasn't allowed to play outside anywhere, unless I was in my own yard, so I quickly scratched the idea of apartment living.

*It was a lot of fun living in an environment that had a lot of people around. We always had one another for playtime and to protect one another. Life was always eventful, you were never alone at home, or ever even alone in your yard without the presence of a dog, or any other kind of animal by your side. I had siblings around me at all times, during my youthful, formative years, until they grew up and cultivated lives and children of their own.

* Childhood days of playing and glorious non-existent responsibility, came with trouble-free malaise. The only childhood malaise that came about was always very seasonal. Yep, it's that time again! As a kid, about the only time to fret was recognizing daylight savings time: an hour less time to sleep, ushering in the spring season of the year. We all reluctantly recognize the changing of the clocks, it is observed at the stroke of 2:00 A.M- at least here on the east coast of the U.S.: Remember, it's time to Spring forward and lose an hour of sleep! Daylight Saving's time is here AGAIN, and it always comes a little bit too early for me every year. Time to rise and shine an hour earlier than what was observed just one day before.

In the Fall or Autumn we will be falling back and again, that is another anxious time for children as they get to play outside one hour less than they could, just the day before. The dates and times of the Fall season changes of course, are between Winter and Spring and Autumn and Winter. In the Autumn, oftentimes called Fall, we will be falling back an hour; extending our evening slumber one hour longer than just the one day before.

These are some of the best memories to entertain when remembering the small, simple concerns of our childhood and youth. When I reminisce, about what I miss the most, I remember missing the consistency of the jovial and peaceful living in a family group and setting. I remember a time when five consecutive days were meant to be spent at school, and weekends were spent at grandma's, church services, and dinning out for Sunday pancakes, lunch soccer games and barbecue's and Saturday night movies, popcorn and fried chicken or pizza for dinner. Does anybody miss those days as much as I do? The large time clock on the wall in the family living room held so many secrets that it could probably write some very funny or happy poems of its own.

Children enjoy learning and seek inspiration when writing, rhyming or story-telling. Sometimes students may write stories to keep themselves amused, engaged or simply to fend off boredom. The nostalgia when remembering the biggest dilemmas that we experienced as a kids, is simply humbling.

*A feeling of bliss is in the air as warm feelings abound in the tone or mood of the poet or writer. When a poet feels happy, he wants his mood to consume the tone of the room where he is calmly writing. It is usually first demonstrated during childhood, at the very beginning when writing an inspirational verse, rhyme or in the musical composition of lyrics. Or on occasion, writing inspiration is released from childhood memories of happiness and youthful nonchalance attributed to the days of unfettered childhood memories.

As children grow into adults, they inherit all of the responsibilities and problems that adolescence and adulthood most assuredly bring about, like a Florida thunderstorm in July. As adults, writers seek more or different diversions for writing and decompressing. Writers seek introspective and inspiration through experiences engaged or pursued in nature. Engaging the elements is beneficial for attaining the innocence and inspiration required for the cultivation of writing stories, books, rhymes and songs.

*Share or give attention and gain inspiration by listening to the simple, subtle, natural sounds in nature.

You can gain perspective when you engage musical instruments, joyful songs or verses as a starting point when seeking inspirational assistance to facilitate or aid the writing or artistic process.

Life Inspiration is helpful when writing entertaining, amusing or short passages or verses. Write poetry for yourself first;enjoy reading your hard work first, before you decide to share your artistic creativity with others. Poetry and pleasing verses and rhyming words inspire, captivate and entertain everyone, especially our children. Children's stories are always short and sweet and rhyme at the end.

*I enjoy learning from you and from others offering me knowledge continuously!~

A Quick History Of The English Language

Perhaps the most, 'taken for granted' language in the world is the English language. Recognised as the international language, used as a first tongue in over a dozen countries, while commercial pilots the world over communicate with each other in English.

Yet Modern English has only been around since the 14th century, beginning life with grammar and words borrowed from the early Norse/Scandinavian, old Germanic, and Norman languages, with Latin and Greek thrown in for good measure. During its evolution it has also been influenced by Turkish, Arabic, Tagalog(Filipino), Spanish, and host of other languages.

But English can prove confusing and non-sensical to a new English student. It would appear to them that words are often mis-spelt, mispronounced and sentences often strung together in the wrong order. As an example, in English we say. 'I drink water', the French, (and other European countries) say, 'I water drink'. Take the, 'ough' dilemma. Here are some words that use this combination of letters. Rough(uff), cough(off), bough(ow), through(oo), although(oh), thought(or), thorough(ah). Imagine, for a moment, how someone who has never spoken English before, trying to tackle this lot. Based on English language rules, the word Fish could also be spelt, ghoti. The letters, gh, could supply the f sound as in rough, o is I as in women, and the sh can come from ti, as in nation. Confused Yet? Wait, there's more.

Do you mean tire or tire? Tire can mean to be weary, and is also the rubber wheel on a car. Did you get your change after your purchase or is it time for a change? Does the gross weight of something mean that the weight is yucky? Do you mean, too, two, or to? Ever tried to wind a clock in a gust of wind? Even singular/plural words do not follow any particular pattern. The plural of mouse is mice, but the plural of house can never be hice. One goose, three geese. Plural of ox is oxen, while more than one baby are called babies.

Creating a language from several other conflicting languages proved an insurmountable challenge to ancient Anglo-phibes. Despite the growing obesity of the English dictionary, we have yet to to string it all together in a grammatically satisfying form. The English language is filled with an incongruous collection of words, harvested from a variety of conflicting languages, and thrown together in a mismatched mixture. This gave justification to centuries of scholars who drifted in and out of history, using the ingredients to come up with palatable recipes for the rest of us. But being a language in constant evolution, the rules keep changing.

Born in 1343, Geoffrey Chaucer was hailed as the father of English literature. For centuries, his works have been obligatory material for English literature students the world over. Compare the text and spelling from his day with that of today. Here is an excerpt from Chaucer's, The Knight's Tale (The Canterbury Tales). The first is written in the script and style of Chaucer's time, the second is a parallel in modern English. One can easily see the many differences in spelling, pronunciation, and writing style.

Heere bigynneth the Knyghtes Tale (Here Begins The Knights Tale)

1) A knyght ther was, and that a worthy man,

That fro the tyme that he first bigan

To riden out, he loved chivalrie,

Trouthe and honour, fredom and curteisie.

Ful worthy was he in his lordes werre,

And therto hadde he riden, no man ferre,

As wel in cristendom as in hethenesse,

And evere honoured for his worthynesse.

At alisaundre he was whan it was wonne.

Ful ofte tyme he hadde the bord bigonne

Aboven alle nacions in pruce;

In lettow hadde he reysed and in ruce,

No cristen man so ofte of his degree.

2) A Knight a worthy man there was, that since the time when first he rode out, loved chivalry, truth and honor, courtesy and liberality. Full valiant he was in battle for his lord, and eke had ridden, no man farther, in Christendom and heathenesse; and ever was honoured for his valor. He was at Alexandria when it was won. Full many a time in Prussia he had sat first at board above all the nations. In Lithuania he had warred and in Russia, no Christian of his degree so oft.

Despite her flaws, her questionable history, and rocky progress, the English language remains one of the world's favourite languages. Spoken by nearly four hundred million people, it is the third most spoken language next to Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. Her colorful history has only added more spice and flavor to the mix, blending to create a uniqueness that sets English on a pedestal all of her own.

3 Ways To Find Top Show Bands For Your Event

It isn't difficult to work with an agent, most are nice people, and ready to do what you need done, in fact... most will go the extra distance to be certain your have the best possible band at the best price.

But, there are three simple ways to find the top show band for your event that you need to know. So, let's reveal those right now:

1 - Google Search Keyword Phrases

In these days of high technology, Google really is one of the best methods of locating what you want. And, as they say... If it ain't online, don't buy it! Google has figured out what people want and how to put it in front of you on their search engine, but you'll need to know what to look for. Keyword phrases that help guide the search engine to your preferences are often primed by agents who speak better BAND than they speak customer. So, think like the band instead of the customer. Look for names and locations that might label the band.

For instance:

"music for afternoon garden wedding" didn't bring up any bands, or agents to choose from, but rather a long selection of tunes.

"best dance bands for hire" brought up a whole list of dance bands and agents who support and market bands for events.

2 - Word of Mouth Referrals and References

Ask others who have hired bands for events, for weddings, or corporate training events, or community entertainment who they call to find the right band. Don't be shy, if you find a band you like, look them up on YouTube.com or ask for referrals, and references for the best dance bands. Choosing Between Individual Pedals or a Multi-Effects Unit? Here Are a Few Things to Consider

Imagine you are a young guitar player sitting in your bedroom at home and playing your favorite songs. As you play more, you begin to hear how the music you play is crafted, and you seek to find out how certain sounds are created. Sometimes it's a percussive element that involves attacking the strings in a unique way with either a pick or your fingertips (or fingernails, but that's another discussion).

Other times, though, you find there are sounds that add to the music in such a way that the addition is clearly manmade, but their impact is astounding. Unable to rest, you hop online & see your favorite guitarist jamming away, but there is obviously something going on at their feet. Suddenly, realize that they are stepping on various buttons that help in the creation of the sounds you found so awe-inspiring. You now know that whatever it is he/she is stepping on, you need to own the same equipment.

Such is one possible foray into the world of effects for guitarists. Not satisfied with the basic function of connecting their instrument to an amplifier, guitarists have sought to manipulate their guitar signal to create other-worldly noise. There was a time about midway through the 20th century that these types of effects were rudimentary & time-consuming to create in the studio. Savvy manufacturers quickly understood that there would be a way to monetize the effects industry if they could provide these effects to musicians in a more direct way and quite literally put them at their feet.

Herein lies the genius of the multi-effect (ME) unit. This "all-in-one" solution to having all of your effects in one box meant making one expense as opposed to buying individual pedals for certain sounds. Say an ME unit provides twelve effects for $100.00. If you bought each effect in a stand-alone pedal for $50.00/pedal, you'd be looking at $600.00.

However, it needs to be understood that quality of the product is paramount to the success of the effects market for guitarists. In fact, recent high-dollar effect offerings under the 'boutique' moniker have shown that guitarists will hand over four figures for an individual effect pedal if they feel that this effect is of the highest quality & doesn't degrade their tone.

What also separates users of individual pedals & multi-effect units is the environment in which they'll be used. For example, a church band may opt to use ME units because they can more easily connect them directly to the house PA system & do away with the stage volume issue associated with an amplifier. This option also allows for effects "patches" to be saved for certain songs. While convenient, an individual pedal user may feel a bit too constrained & unable to activate sounds as the moment takes them.

All in all, every guitarist's experience will be an individual one. Whether you choose individual effects pedals or go the way of the multi-effect unit, you are taking an important step to establishing your signature sound, and you need to rely on what inspires you the most to keep making music.
