Scarisoara Cave is one of the major ice caves in the Apuseni Mountains, part of Carpathian Mountains, also known as the second biggest underground glacier in south-eastern Europe and is located at the altitude of 1165 meters. Each tourist has to go on a metal and wooden staircase and it can be visited only with a guide. The cave temperature is pretty low, and is recommended to dress in warm clothes.
5. Dracula's Castle - Bran Castle
Bran Castle is probably the most famous edifice from Romania, and is known worldwide as Dracula's Castle. The Transylvanian Count Dracula is a fictional character mentioned in the novel "Dracula" by the british author, Bram Stoker. Dracula is not really a kid friendly character, especially because of its behaviour, but taking in consideration that in the last years he was presented as a funny and charismatic man, it may gain popularity through kids.
