A Moment Not With You

Drttt... drttt... drttt... Marsya's hand fumbled for the mattress, looking for the source of the vibrating HP sound. After he got it, his eyes widened at the whatsapp message of the rectangular object.

"Seriously, oh how's this going?" she murmured in a panic as she smoothed out the scattered pillows and bolsters.

Deftly he went to the bathroom just washing his face and brushing his teeth, without showering without even combing his curls which were just pigtails carelessly, then scooped up the slim bag and ran out towards the trunk of the car. He drove in a hurry. It didn't take long just 15 minutes for him to arrive at his destination. Juanda Airport.

He continued to step his feet and circled directionlessly following his eyes looking for the figure of a person with trembling hands and cold sweat oozing on the temples of his head.

"Akbar!!!" he shouted for the back figure of the man who walked with his back to him and held a mini suitcase. Simultaneously, the man turned his head and Marsya ran to hug him. The man also returned his hug.

"I believe, my girl will definitely not be late", Akbar said confidently while looking at the watch on his left wrist showing a long hand at number 9 and a short needle at number 11. Marsya was still awake in his arms.

"It turns out that you really want to go, why not wait for me in a while?" asked Marsya with teary eyes.

"Sorry, my determination has been unanimous. I just want to see you happy. I'm not long anyway, and will be back soon after all the mess of my father's trading company is back to the way it was", Akbar said softly and still hugged Marsya.

"Remember, keep your spirits up and achieve your dreams, because your success is only in the palm of your hand. And remember, I will definitely come back to see you", Akbar said advising and reassuring Marsya while looking at marsya's eyes that were still filled with tears.

"But you don't forget to always break the news wherever and whenever", marsya Sulking.
"yes, yes. Anyway while you're not looking away I'm definitely giving you news", Akbar retorted with a seductive smile. The dimples were instantly visible. Marsya smiled in response to him.

Soon there was a notification sound that the plane was about to take off, Akbar immediately said goodbye and kissed Marsya's forehead. They parted ways amid the hustle and bustle of passers-by.

Time goes by so fast. It has been two years since Marsya and Akbar exchanged news via Whatsapp and even Video Call. There was not a single activity that Akbar missed to report to his beloved girl. Marsya is also the case, her days on campus are just studying and mourning with her fellow students. Although on campus many men approached and even his classmates also expressed love for him, he refused euphemistically and remained steadfast in his love for Akbar who was still in the metropolis. Marsya only considered that those who approached her and professed love for her were just a mere obsession, because on campus she was famous as the Campus Goddess and in two semesters her face was plastered on campus magazines.

After finishing the lesson, Marsya looked at her cellphone which she had been silent. There were four Whatsapp messages coming in, who else if not from his girlfriend who had that dazzling smile.

"One more month you're going to have graduation huh?". Marsya read one of the messages.
"When did you come home, he said last month, but until now also haven't come back?" retorted Marsya in her message.
"Wait a minute, I'll definitely be back", Akbar retorted.
Marsya simply retorted with a smiley emoticon. Then put his cellphone in the pocket of the duffel bag he was carrying.

Time flies and the day has changed. Marsya has now graduated and is declared a Student with laude predicate of one Faculty.

"Marsya let's hurry up, we'll be late...", called mama marsya who was ready to go to the children's graduation ceremony by wearing an elegant kebaya.
"yes ma, it's done soon", Marsya replied amplifying the sound from her room which was on the second floor.

In addition, Marsya was anxious because from yesterday evening Akbar could not be reached at all, the cell phone was also not active. He also contacted Akbar's parents and they informed him that Akbar was still running his business. Now he can only think positively, hoping that his heart will be well there.

Marsya walked out of her room and walked down the stairs gracefully. She looked very ayu and molek with a yellow kebaya that she wore with a hair model in a Korean artist's bun leaving a little strand of hair hanging down on the left and right sides of her head temples.

After the graduation ceremony was over, a group photo session and a meeting of members between the graduates and relatives had begun. At that time, Marsya and four friends were engrossed in taking pictures in their respective styles. Ignoring that his friends gaped at the male figure walking towards them wearing a navy suit paired with a striped hem complemented by a watch looped around his wrist and casual shoes he wore like a white-riding prince who was about to pick up his empress. A smile with dazzling dimples he spread but only in one direction which was Marsya.

Instantly she turned her head and was surprised to see that the figure her friends were looking at was the man she had been longing for and looking forward to. Without saying anything Marsya immediately hugged him and Akbar immediately greeted the hug.

"It's not too late, right?" asked Akbar after taking off his embrace and giving a bouquet of pink tulips.
"Why is there no news? Why not reply to the message? why not tell me when you go home?" Marsya asked many questions without answering Akbar's questions.
"surprise...", Akbar replied with a smile looking at Marsya's eyes that had begun to fill with tears.

Akbar, who was then a bouquet of flowers received by Marsya, immediately took out something from the pocket of the slim fit pants he was wearing. Marsya was stunned to see a small box taken from Akbar's trouser pocket. Soon Akbar opened the small box containing the shiny circle object, and then put on Marsya's ring finger.

Marsya, who was overwhelmed with shock and moved, couldn't stop her tears anymore that had now fallen to her cheeks. Akbar with his soft hands wiped away the tears and carried them into the arms saying, "From this moment only I will make you smile and cry, anytime and anywhere". Akbar said softly and tightened his embrace.

Marsya who was glued in Akbar's arms with the happiest feelings in her life. She thought, love and loyalty are tested when distance and time separate and only trust is able to maintain it and ultimately return in its proper embrace.
