장치 시장은 3 월 이후 점차 둔화되고 있었다. 일부 추정에 따르면 PC 부문은 6 월 말 현재 약 7 % 감소 할 것으로 예상됩니다. 그리고 9 월 말까지 데스크톱, 노트북, 태블릿 및 크롬 북을 포함하는 PC 부문은 더욱 감소했습니다.

가트너의 추정에 따르면 전세계 PC 출하량은 2022년 3분기에 총 6800만 대를 기록했는데, 이는 지난해 같은 기간에 비해 19.5% 감소한 수치다. 출하량 감소는 글로벌 경기 둔화에 대한 우려로 부채질된 높은 인플레이션을 배경으로 기업과 소비자가 노트북과 데스크톱에 대한 지출을 철회하도록 강요했다. 

강한 달러가 압박에 추가되었으며, 이는 글로벌 다국적 기업의 수입에 무게를 두었습니다. 미국 이외의 지역에서 매출의 절반을 벌어들이는 Microsoft는 Windows 소프트웨어 제조업체가 화요일에 5 년 동안 가장 느린 분기 매출 성장을 게시 할 예정이므로 연간 전망을 변경해야 할 수도 있습니다.
